Job Description

Job Title: Safety Technician

Location: Brownsville Texas

Position Summary:
Burrow Global LLC is seeking a dedicated and proactive Safety Technician to join our team in Brownsville Texas. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all personnel onsite by implementing monitoring and enforcing safety protocols and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve Job Safety Analyses (JSA) for all crews in the assigned area.
  • Conduct daily safety inspections within your designated area.
  • Facilitate effective communication between subcontractors to ensure a cohesive safety culture.
  • Perform daily JSA audits to maintain compliance and safety standards.
  • Engage continuously in the field to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Create safety observations and track trends to inform proactive safety measures.
  • Speak at safety meetings to communicate hazards and safety updates specific to your area.
  • Plan and coordinate to facilitate safe and organized work environments.
  • Assist subcontractors in identifying and implementing safe methods to perform tasks.
  • Communicate observations trends and incidents to the Burrow Global Safety (BGS) team.
  • Report all injuries and incidents to the Safety Manager immediately.
  • Conduct orientations and assist with onboarding processes related to safety protocols.
  • Support the Safety Manager in incident and nearmiss investigations.

Qualifications:

  • CPR/First Aid Excavation Safety Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and Fall Protection training certifications are required.
  • Must possess CSST/CSSS or equivalent safety certifications.
  • Strong understanding of safety requirements for projects and familiarity with subcontractor safety plans.
  • Proven experience conducting safety orientations and facilitating safety meetings.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
