Job Summary
The University of Kentucky College of Dentistry Division of Adult Dentistry is accepting applications for a fulltime faculty member who will provide and enhance direct patient care at Kentucky Clinic participate in the didactic and clinical training of the Divisions General Practice Residency GPR Program including attending clinical and oncall coverage for residents. This is a fulltime nontenure track faculty position at the academic rank of Assistant Associate or Professor level. The anticipated start date for this assignment is July 1 2024. Responsibilities: 1. Providing direct patient care as a participant in UKHealthcare. 2. Supervising general practice residents in the clinical care of patients in the Kentucky Clinic. 3. Participate in the oncall schedule of the attending dental staff. 4. Participating in Division patient care and teaching activities. 5. Serving as a member of college committees. 6. Conducting seminars and lectures for the residents. General Qualifications: 1. D.M.D. or D.D.S. degree from a CODA accredited institution or proof of graduation from a non CODA accredited dental school and evidence that the degree makes the candidate eligible to practice dentistry in the jurisdiction from which the applicant graduated. 2. Maintenance of a dental license within the Commonwealth of Kentucky. 3. Maintenance of Basic Life Support BLS certification. 4. Demonstrate ability in clinical and didactic teaching. Percent of Time and Effort: (figures are approximations only and are subject to change based on the needs of the institution): Service (patient care) 8595 Administration 05 Professional Development 010 Total 100 Salary and rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
