Job Description

Job Title: 2025Explore Special Services Adaptive PE

Department: Innovation & Information

Pay Grade: $235 Daily Subject to change pending salary schedule approval

FLSA Status: Exempt

Reports to: Building Administrator

Length of Service:

Tentative Training Days: May27th and 30th

Tentative Session Days: June227

*All seated teachers and support staff are required to work an additional 30 minutes beyond the instructional day to assist in supervising during arrival/dismissal. This site principal will decide and communicate whether the 30 minutes will be tacked on before or after (or split between) the instructional day.

Teachers must remain in the mode of delivery(seated/virtual) of the original offer accepted. No changes will be allowed.

Essential Functions

  • Administers subject specific assignments to teach the course listed in the contract following prescribed coding and/or Maker Space curriculum for the purpose of improving the overall quality of student outcomes and achieving established classroom objectives in support of the school improvement plan.
  • Participates in a Summer School Orientation meeting (TBA) at assigned Summer School site and weekly building meetings for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform the jobs functions.

Job Requirements(Minimum Qualifications)

Knowledgeis required to perform basic math including calculations using fractions percents and/or ratios; read technical information compose a variety of documents and/or facilitate group discussions; and analyze situations to define issues and draw conclusions. Specific knowledge based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: appropriate codes policies regulations and/or laws; age appropriate activities; lesson plan requirements; stages of child development; and behavioral management

Skillsare required to perform multiple highly complex technical tasks with a need to periodically upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: applying assessment instruments; operating standard office equipment including using pertinent software applications; and preparing and maintaining accurate records.

Abilityis required to schedule activities meetings and/or events; gather collate and/or classify data; and use jobrelated equipment. Flexibility is required to work with others in a wide variety of circumstances; work with data utilizing defined but different processes; and operate equipment using standardized methods. Ability is also required to work with a diversity of individuals and/or groups; work with a variety of data; and utilize jobrelated equipment. Problem solving is required to analyze issues and create action plans. Problem solving with data frequently requires independent interpretation of guidelines; and problem solving with equipment is moderate. Specific ability based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: developing and maintaining positive relationships; setting high expectations for self and others; setting and monitoring progress toward goals; utilizing and offering effective feedback to continuously improve; collaborating and communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders; applying critical thinking/problem solving to improve work processes; adapting to changing work priorities; maintaining confidentiality; exhibiting tact and patience; and working flexible hours.

Responsibility

Responsibilities include: working under limited supervision using standardized practices and/or methods; leading guiding and/or coordinating others; Utilization of resources from other work units is often required to perform the jobs functions. There is some opportunity to significantly impact the organizations services.

Bachelors degree in jobrelated area required

Miscellaneous Requirements

Background clearance the results of which must be satisfactory to the District required

Certificates and Licenses

Physical Education Missouri Teaching Certificate K12 required

Ability to meet Missouris requirements of Highly Qualified Teachers required

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

The usual and customary methods of performing the jobs functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting carrying pushing and/or pulling significant climbing and balancing significant stooping kneeling crouching and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 10 sitting 80 walking and 10 standing. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness.
