My client is a progressive architectural & interiors studio based in Victoria BC serving the Pacific Northwest. About the Opportunity:
My client is seeking a motivated Intern Architect or Architect with intermediate experience to join their growing team. This role provides the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting projects while developing your skills in a collaborative supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative design concepts and create compelling presentation materials.
- Prepare working drawings and coordinate rezoning development permit and building permit submissions.
- Support coordination with consultants contractors and clients throughout all project phases.
- Maintain design intent and attention to detail during construction documentation and administration.
What You Bring to the Role:
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the AIBC.
- Strong design and visualization skills with the ability to communicate ideas effectively.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Revit SketchUp Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with permit submissions and working drawings.
- Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills to meet deadlines.
- Experience with woodframe and midrise multifamily housing projects.
- Familiarity with the BCBC and local landuse bylaws.
- Construction administration experience including site visits and contractor coordination.
- An interest in conducting feasibility studies and earlystage project planning.
