Role Overview:
As a Civil Project Engineer you will focus on land development projects for a diverse client base including K12 and higher education commercial restaurant office municipal park district historic preservation and infrastructure improvement projects across the United States.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply principles of civil engineering technology to land development including the design of drainage stormwater systems water systems sanitary sewer systems parking and roadways.
- Utilize Civil 3D software to prepare exhibits and construction documents.
- Design and permit land development projects using stormwater management and storm sewer software.
- Review regulations and standards necessary for project design and permitting work.
- Analyze reports maps drawings tests and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design projects.
- Make decisions independently on engineering problems and methods.
- Maintain accuracy and quality of engineering design reports and plans while adhering to budgets schedules and company standards.
- Perform site investigations and provide onsite construction observation services.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in civil engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency with Civil 3D and other computerbased design tools.
- Ability to collaborate with crossfunctional project teams including architects and contractors.
- Strong communication skills and ability to produce technical reports drawings and documentation.
Preferred Skills:
- EIT certification.
- Familiarity with fieldwork site visits and construction sites.
- Knowledge of surveying and data collection.
- Ability to manage smaller project schedules budgets and resources.
- Strong client communication and relationship management skills.
