Job Description
We areseeking an experienced Program / Project Manager to join the Environmental Permitting and Planning (EP&P) Team in our Houston or Austin office.
The successful candidate should be a selfstarter who can provide program / project management and technical support to ecology and environmental permitting projects and proposals. The candidate will be responsible for proposing planning executing and managing projects of varying complexity with multidisciplinary teams. The position requires strong collaboration skills project management and client engagement in support of our Clients in Texas / Oklahoma as well as experience with proposal preparation (scoping and pricing).
This position provides a great careergrowth opportunity for an energetic person who can effectively manage environmental projects.
This position is anticipated to be 80 office work / 20 field work. Some travel (local/overnight) may be required.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate:
- Independent thinker and a selfstarter able to work independently when needed.
- Effective communication skills.
- Excellent teamwork and leadership skills as well as ability to effectively manage a team.
- Ability to effectively engage directly with staff and leadership.
- Strong experience working with state and federal regulations including all steps of design submittal and regulatory interface associated with permits under:
- Texas Commission on Environmental Quality
- U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
- U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
- U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service
- Strong technical writing and QA/QC skills
- Ability to effectively manage and deliver proposals and reports
All candidates require:
- Bachelors degree in Biology Ecological Science Environmental Policy Geology or related field; Masters degree preferred
- Minimum 6 years of related experience including 34 years project related experience and knowledge of applicable federal state and local laws and regulations
- Applicable experience in Texas and knowledge of Texass threatened and endangered species ecosystems and vegetation preferred.
