Part Time Positions
Hours : Part time schedule working between 8 and 24 hours per week.
AM Schedule : Positions available with 4hour shifts starting at 3:00am
PM Schedule : Positions available with 8hour shifts starting at 12:00pm
All positions require an every other weekend rotation and holiday rotation.
A onetime sign on bonus is available to qualified individuals for up to $2500 (less taxes) with a 2 year service commitment for positions that are a minimum of 20 hours per week.
Job Summary:
Under specific direction collects and prepares blood specimens and other samples for laboratory testing. Maintains collection areas and equipment and performs record keeping duties.Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collects blood specimens by venipuncture and capillary technique and processes the samples according to laboratory guidelines.
- Delivers samples to the laboratory in established time frames.
- May perform waived testing.
- May perform a variety of administrative duties to support the department.
- Identifies patients using two identifiers.
- Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
- High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 025 lbs.
- Frequent sitting standing walking reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
- Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near 20 inches or less) and far 20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
- Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms malfunctioning machinery etc.
- Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
- Occasional bending stooping kneeling squatting twisting and gripping.
- Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 2550 lbs.
- Rare climbing.
