Your Team:

As the Vice President and Product Owner for the global cloud team you will lead the companys cloud strategy and execute cloud migration in partnership with the business. You will work with business technology leaders product owners tech leads engineers and delivery professionals to optimize business application workloads promote automation reduce manual tasks and support secure selfservice. You will manage tech leads to ensure successful deployment and adoption of the cloud environment improving development teams velocity for modern projects. Responsible for the financial performance of the product line you will efficiently run and scale your organization. Your success will be measured by how well business teams and developers align with cloud usage patterns and effectively leverage the cloud for optimal architecture and business outcomes. With your expertise in application development infrastructure and governance you will contribute technical and leadership skills fostering continuous learning and improvement.

Here is What You Can Expect on a Typical Day:

  • Create and maintain a global product roadmap based on an understanding of the business and the strategic potential of the capabilities you own including:
  • Global Cloud Foundation (AWS and Azure)
  • Fully automated foundation and control structure
  • Reusable cloud migration patterns
  • Enable the organization to easily migrate to the cloud in tiers of complexity (i.e. server backed serverless functions etc.
  • Developer Onboarding and Process Automation
  • Operate a noticket ecosystem building developer needs into every design while achieving immutability and security
  • Foster a serverless first mindset and advocate for designing operations at higher levels in the stack to maintain a strong focus on business delivery and outcomes
  • Provide deep technical expertise driving cloud service adoption including but not limited to cloud application and Infrastructure development patterns.
  • Establish a tagging and metrics driven model to identify versioned patterns deployed in production promoting rehydration and validating architectural alignment
    Integrate with an innersource developer ecosystem promoting a collaborative environment where developers are empowered to contribute and build upon solutions
  • Lead with an application development and automation mindset promoting frequent small changes.
  • Partner consistently with the business to ensure strategic cloud migration paths for core capabilities and initiatives including the potential for peer coding opportunities
  • Ensure alignment of product features and stories i.e. review give feedback and prioritize user stories in line with your roadmap and vision.
  • Communicate frequently with business stakeholders to ensure engagement and buyin on decisions and proposed solutions. Establish a strong feedback loop.
  • Champion adoption of your product line creating a user friendly and sustainable adoption model.
  • Lead sprint and release plans together with the Scrum Master and organizational technology teams.
  • Work with Tech lead(s) to build modular & reusable solutions.
  • Manage the endtoend financials of the product line.

The Skills & Expertise You Bring:

  • Deep Application Development Engineering Analytics or similar experience
  • Strong technical experience in
  • AWS and Azure native services
  • Serverless Architecture
  • Application Development Automation and Infrastructure as Code
  • Experience in programming languages libraries and frameworks:
  • Python Java JavaScript React Spring Boot Node.js or similar
  • IAC: Terraform CloudFormation or similar
  • Microservice frontend
  • Domaindriven design
  • Cloud Architecture
  • APIs both internal and external
  • Event Driven Design
  • Resiliency including multi region design strategies
  • Containerization Docker Kubernetes
  • Information Security OAuth mTLS AuthN/AuthZ
  • Observability metrics logging and endtoend tracing
  • Modular and reusable code
  • Agile methodology
  • Operations processes to support an active production environment.
  • Overall operations incident process flow and driving towards faster Incident resolution.
  • Understanding of observability and how signals and automation technologies can drive incident response to predict and avoid outages before they occur.
    Lead and effectively leverage diverse ideas experiences thoughts and perspectives to the benefit of the organization.
  • Ability to learn new skills and knowledge on an ongoing basis through selfinitiative and tackling challenges.
  • Excellent problem solving communication and collaboration skills; enjoy learning new skills.

Analytical Thinking: Knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

Agile Methodologies: Knowledge of concept and principles of agile methodology; ability to apply appropriate agile approaches in the processes of software development and delivery.

Prudential is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $230100.00 to $311300.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location candidate experience and skills.
