Job Description
Join a leading company in the food industry located in the Far East Side near Northeastwood Indiana. As a Maintenance Mechanic you will play a critical role in ensuring that the plant operates efficiently by handling the installation preventive maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment.
Responsibilities
Conduct preventive maintenance on machinery according to established schedules. Troubleshoot adjust and repair equipment to prevent downtime. Quickly respond to and resolve equipment breakdowns. Educate production staff on basic preventive maintenance to reduce downtime. Ensure all machinery and equipment function properly and adhere to safety standards. Document maintenance procedures and adhere to safety GMPs food safety and quality protocols.
Requirements
At least 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance preferred. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks. Willingness to work in various environmental conditions. Must have own transportation. Knowledge of safety procedures including lockout/tagout. These positions might require candidates to complete tests in electricity mechanics and hierology.
