We are a district that serves over 6700 students and employs more than 750 employees in a northwestern suburb of Minneapolis Minnesota. Our district is comprised of one primary school for kindergarten students three elementary schools for grades 14 two middle schools for grades 58 and one high school for grades 912.
Position Overview & ResponsibilitiesDCD Center based Journeys Program
Responsible for working with adult students with disabilities in meeting the secondary transition academic and physical needs as identified in the goals supports of services of the IEP in either an individual or small group setting under the direction of the special education teacher or bus service personnel; maintain confidentiality of student and family information as required under FERPA.For more information please see thejob descriptionfor this position.
Start Date: February 3rd 2025
Contract: 183 days
Schedule: MondayFriday 7:15 AM2:15 PM including a 30minute unpaid lunch break 32.5 hours/week)
Salary & Benefits
Starting Rate: $19.84$20.30 per hour

Requirements & Qualifications
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and either two years of postsecondary education or successful completion of the Paraeducator; ability to work with staff and an educational team to provide services to students with disabilities; previous experience in working with students or adults with disabilities preferred. Health tasks will be delegated by a Registered Nurse training will be provided.
