Private Equity AnalystAssociate Internship

Peridot Equity (PE) is a privatelyheld entrepreneurialinvestment fund seeking to acquire and accelerate growth for a single businessin North America. We are looking to make a majority investment in a stableprofitable company with annual revenues of $10 to $50 million and/or EBITDA of$2 to $10 million.

Peridots founding partner is a former mergers and acquisitioninvestment banker and tech and serial entrepreneur who has built and scaledmultiple companies and worked with technology and software companies that havebeen acquired by large companies and private equity firms. You will workdirectly with the firms founding partner and be exposed to live deals andtransactions.

We are looking for both undergrad and MBA students. Consideringthe gravity of the current situation the intern is expected to work from home.The internship can be full time and/or can be parttime during the school year.The minimum commitment is 10 hours a week.

We are looking to recruit a sharp entrepreneurial andhardworking individual hungry for challenges and career growth and eager tolearn about new industries and the process of acquiring a business through aleveraged buyout transaction (LBO). The Analyst (undergraduate)/Associate(MBA) will develop skills relevant to a future career in private equity investmentbanking consulting or entrepreneurship.

Role Description

Peridot Equity seeks to identify acquire and operate anexisting private company in the United States or Canada with EBITDA between$2.0 $10.0 million.

The internship will involve handson participation in the coreactivities of operating a small private equity firm with an emphasis on dealsourcing. Analysts & Associates will learn how to critically evaluateindustries and companies as potential acquisition targets how to value companieshow to approach potential sellers and the mechanics of acquiring a privatebusiness.

The candidate should expect to develop a fundamental knowledgeof the process by which lowermiddle market companies are bought and sold. Thecandidate will also gain a working understanding of the industry participantsinvolved in lowermiddle market transactions and the motivating factors drivingtheir behavior.

Please note that although the internship is unpaid applicantscan expect significant professional and personal mentorship from PEs foundingpartner industry references and introductions.

Researchand identify potential acquisition targets based on our investment criteria

Conductresearch to identify & evaluate industry niches

Solicitacquisition opportunities through the production of emails for targeted smallbusinesses

Interface withbrokers & bankers to source opportunities

Reviewof confidential business and financial information on potential acquisitions

Developinvestment theses and an understanding of business models for selected targets

Analyzefinancial statements & business models

Join phone callswith investors investment bankers and business owners

Conductdue diligence on acquisition targets

Significantmentorship from Peridot Equity founder and weekly meetings to discuss progress

Location: Remote (Canada & US)

Duration: 10 weeks with extensions depending on performance
