Job Description:

CVS Lead supports the planning and of product and business development projects in terms of development launch and post launch evaluation. CVS Lead will partner with the CVS Manager to support all commissioning validation and start up activities for specified projects.

This position will be day shift MF. This role is eligible for a $2500 Sign on Bonus for New Hires.

What are we looking for

  • Strong understanding of current factory process in both Making and Packaging
  • Strong analytical communication and influencing skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to transfer procedures and training experiences to others
  • Comprehensive understanding of the CVS process lean thinking methodology and their application to the site environment
  • Candidate must be willing to travel to other Royal Canin sites to gain knowledge of how to operate and maintain the packaging & processing line equipment

Education & Professional Qualifications

High School Diploma (or equivalent) & minimum of 3 years of experience in highspeed manufacturing continuous improvement environment.

Preferred:

  • Associate Degree in a technical field of study and 2 years experience in a TPM/technical manufacturing environment or 5 years of experience in manufacturing with progressive levels of responsibility
  • Certified Trainer (Daily Management System (DMS) Autonomous Maintenance (AM) Problem solving etc.

What will be your key responsibilities

  • Support all CVS activities including project launch
  • Coordinate commissioning validation and startup for major and small minor projects at the site
  • Communicate with Site management ensuring appropriate resources are in place
  • Develop the CVS plan including Global Best Practices for Quality & Food Safety
  • Transfer equipment knowledge & operation through factory directed training or personal handson training
  • Set up and chair meetings related to CVS activities and project information
  • Resolve cross functional issues and agree on actions follow up on actions define and report on milestones
  • Support site CVS activities including coordination of resources collaboration with engineering group leading crossfunctional decisionmaking teams concerning project activities developing the CVS plan creating standard operating procedures and maximizing the operational effectiveness of startup
  • Although not directly responsible for the CVS budget the Lead must make decisions based on budgeted amounts and understand its tradeoffs
  • Support Vendor Acceptance Testing/Factory Acceptance Testing as needed for projects
  • Deliver projects safely with high quality on time and within budget
  • Lead new equipment and agreed on performance metrics including TRS Production Reliability MTBF & loss elimination
  • Develop close working relationship with Continuous Improvement Technicians identifying cost reduction opportunities throughout the site and implement lean solutions to reduce waste improve yield increase TRS and maximize productivity labor and equipment utilization
  • Support the MSE ET Pillar to contribute to the creation of proper stepup cards during the validation and start up.
  • Create SOPs for all new processes and equipment
  • Collaborate with maintenance to get all PMs completed
  • Collaborate with maintenance and Project Manager to get all spare parts ordered.
  • Support lean programs including lean training and implementation of lean programs
