Job Description

Key areas of knowledge we seek include precision laser and optical systems. Experience in analyzing designing building and validating precision laser and optical systems integrating lasers optics and measurement electronics will be key attributes of the successful candidate.
Intern will:
- Design precision laser and optical systems for test and characterization of Keysight laser interferometry products
- Determine and develop approaches to assignments
- Design and develop components processes and systems using broad engineering concepts and research techniques
- Document research and design specifications
- Solve high impact design and development problems of varying scope and complexity
- Use product and customer applications knowledge to determine define develop and validate design concepts and method
- Must be actively working towards Masters or Ph. D. in Optical Sciences/Engineering Mechanical Electrical Physics and Material Science or equivalent experience
- Strong handson experience with designing building and validating precision lasers and optical systems preferably in the visible spectrum
- Experience in laser/optical/electrooptical system analysis for systems integrating lasers optics and measurement electronics are preferred
- Experience with optical design software such as Zemax
- Knowledge of geometrical optics and raytracing
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Collaboration in a crossfunctional team environment
- Ability to work independently
