We are looking for a Marine Engineer to join Installation Department in Milan HQ.
Installation Engineer in the office work
- Preliminary Works: Includes route clearance PLGR and crossing preparation.
- Cable Handling: Involves cable loading laying and protection using various burial machines.
- Technical Support: Preparation of calculations drawings and plans to justify technical solutions.
- Time Schedules: Development of installation work schedules.
- Risk Assessments: Conducting risk assessments for installation activities.
- Installation Assets: Defining selecting and preparing installation assets like vessels and burial machines.
- Subcontractor Selection: Managing technical responsibilities from specification preparation to request for quotation.
- Technical/Quality Management: Overseeing cable and equipment management and installation procedures.
- Health and Safety: Ensuring safety quality and reporting.
- Environmental Compliance: Adhering to policies to preserve the environment and prevent pollution.
- Asset Care: Verifying and maintaining all assets including vessels and installation equipment.
- Project Constraints: Adhering to contract clauses and specifications.
- Operative Schedule: Ensuring efficiency and adherence to plans.
- Client Relationship: Managing client representatives on site.
- Subcontractor Supervision: Overseeing subcontractors during installation.
- Departmental Interface: Regular reporting to various company departments.
- Client Interaction: Engaging with clients on technical planning and operative aspects.
- Asbuilt Documentation: Preparing final reports gathering all project documentation.
Marine Operation Superintendent in the offshore installation sites
This part of the role covers the operative on all marine installation sites activities for the implementation of a Project.
- Preliminary works such as route clearance PLGR prelay burial runs mobilization of vessels
- Cable loading
- Cable laying
- Cable burial with a wide variety of tools/machines
- Cable pulling through HDD conduits or onto offshore platforms
- Cable repair and jointing
You are the right fit if you have/are:
- Fluent in English
- Degree in Engineering.
- Preferably experience in a role involved in installation of submarine cable but more in general in the construction industry.
- Availability to spend long periods abroad on site (approx. 6070 per year).
- Leadership attitude.
- Good communication skills and relationship approach with Clients and subcontractors.
- Analytical and problemsolving skills target orientation with attitude to manage properly priorities in coordination with Management.
- Attitude to fast learning and selfcommitment.
- Strong teamwork skills results oriented and ambitious mindset.
