Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Process Engineer to join our team as a Department Manager. The successful candidate will lead a dynamic group of engineers overseeing project and ensuring adherence to safety quality and efficiency standards. You will play a key role in the development and review of engineering designs manage client relationships and provide leadership on large multidiscipline projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to company quality standards and follow established engineering checking and approval procedures.
- Comply with company and client health safety security and environmental (HSSE) standards as well as all federal and local regulations.
- Actively engage in hazard identification programs and report any unsafe acts conditions or incidents to your supervisor.
- Collaborate with the drafting/design team to develop and review engineering drawings.
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements conditions and evaluate sitespecific challenges.
- Visit vendor facilities to inspect equipment and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Prepare and review inquiry purchase requisitions and bid tabulations for equipment procurement.
- Perform detailed checks on engineering drawings and mathematical calculations to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure design practices adhere to safety standards while identifying opportunities for cost savings.
- Plan and manage workload project budgets and resources escalating issues when necessary.
- Develop review and approve conceptual and detailed engineering design packages.
- Assist in the development and improvement of internal design guidelines specifications and control procedures.
- Utilize advanced engineering principles and mathematics for complex calculations and problemsolving.
- Prepare modify and oversee reports specifications project plans and construction schedules.
- Analyze engineering strategies to ensure the appropriate methodologies are applied.
- Manage client relationships and explore opportunities for repeat business and growth.
- Compile manhour and cost estimates based on clientprovided project scopes.
- Forecast and manage manhour requirements and project schedules.
- Lead risk management initiatives addressing potential challenges like construction costs environmental hazards and regulatory issues.
- Undertake feasibility studies technical evaluations and site investigations to support project success.
- Lead multidiscipline projects manage daytoday workflows delegate assignments and ensure deadlines are met.
- Provide feedback and evaluations for team members addressing performance and any workrelated issues.
- Act as a subject matter expert advising on work techniques best practices and engineering solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in engineering (Chemical Engineering preferred).
- Bachelors Degree from an ABET Accredited Institution is preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Field experience is required.
- Extensive experience in leading engineering projects particularly in process engineering.
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to manage both internal teams and client relationships.
