Programme Senior Officer (Adults)

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Officer to join Birmingham City Councils Public Health Adults Team to lead on matters relating to Adult Weight Management and the delivery of the NHS Health Checks programme. This is a permanent fulltime post.
The Senior Programme Officer will oversee and ensure that core operational and strategic objectives are met. The potholder will also provide a necessary link and specialist public health advice to the Birmingham and Solihull ICBs CVD Hypertension Diabetes and Obesity workstreams.
Candidates must be competent at project management and matrix working to work in partnership across service and organizational boundaries. The ideal candidate will be experienced in effective contract management have experience in managing people and able to influence partners to improve the health and wellbeing. This role will offer the potholder a variety of opportunities to enhance their public health experience further develop core leadership competencies and provide the flexibility to innovate whilst making a real difference to tackling health inequalities in our city.
