Job Description
Job Title: Groundskeeper
Graf Brothers Flooring Inc. is seeking a full time dedicated and reliable Groundskeeper to maintain the cleanliness safety and overall appearance of our facilities in South Shore KY. This role requires a person with a strong work ethic attention to detail and a passion for overall cleanliness and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have experience with landscaping general building maintenance and groundskeeping duties.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance of lawns and other outdoor spaces including mowing trimming weeding etc.
- Plant water and care for flowers shrubs and trees to ensure they remain healthy and aesthetically pleasing.
- Clean and maintain outdoor areas including pathways parking lots and recreational spaces by picking up litter and debris.
- Clean and maintain all buildings restrooms and break room facilities assuring that all utilities are clean and operating effectively
- Maintain and repair irrigation systems to ensure proper watering of plants and lawns.
- Monitor and address pest control using safe and approved methods.
- Assist in snow removal and other weatherrelated tasks during the winter season.
- Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment such as lawnmowers and other tools.
- Ensure that outdoor areas are safe and accessible including fixing any hazards like uneven pavement or broken fences.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of meetings and other activities.
- Work directly with the Safety Specialist to adhere to all safety and environmental policies using equipment and chemicals according to safety standards.
- Work closely with management crew leaders and other maintenance staff to foster a culture of safety and cleanliness across the organization.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a groundskeeper or in a similar maintenance role.
- Knowledge of landscaping basic outdoor and building maintenance.
- Ability to operate groundskeeping equipment safely and effectively.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of safety and environmental regulations related to grounds maintenance.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.
- Ability to bend squat and kneel for extended periods.
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions including heat cold and inclement weather.
Job Type:
- Fulltime
- Onsite/inperson position
- May require occasional travel scheduled as needed.
