KSDKTV is seeking a highly motivated Broadcast IT Specialist to join our Technology Team. This role will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the technical aspects of our stations operations integrating both IT and broadcast technologies. The successful candidate will provide handson troubleshooting and maintenance for broadcast hardware newsroom systems and IT infrastructure ensuring seamless operations for News Sales Technology and administrative teams. This position requires a strong technical background customer service orientation and the ability to work in a fastpaced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for endusers including troubleshooting and instructing internal customers on hardware and software issues.
  • Support and maintain newsroom system technologies including ENPS BitCentral graphics playout systems and teleprompter systems.
  • Troubleshoot repair and maintain computer hardware software and peripherals.
  • Image and deploy computers and maintain mobile device systems.
  • Respond promptly to service ticket requests and maintain uptodate technical documentation.
  • Work with network switches servers storage systems and security/virus protection software.
  • Collaborate effectively with all departments to ensure smooth technical operations.
  • Work flexible hours including weekends and holidays to support 24/7 operations.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree or technical certification in a technologyrelated field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a professional broadcasting or IT environment.
  • Strong understanding of television broadcast workflow newsroom systems and production technologies.
  • Experience with Windows Server Active Directory and Office 365 administration.
  • Certifications such as A Network Security or Microsoft certifications are a plus.
  • Must have network experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under deadlines and adapt to evolving technology.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Physical ability to lift and push up to 50 lbs and work in varying environments.
