Job Description
Responsibilities:
Planning scheduling and coordinating production of complex jobs including production workflow equipment raw materials and manpower needed to cover production demand.
Planning and prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
Purchasing raw materials components and services to meet the production and customer requirements.
Monitoring costs to ensure jobs stay within budget.
Evaluating raw materials and equipment to ensure everything is in place for production.
Reporting on the production status and any production issues to upper management.
Handling production disruptions and productivity problems.
Finding ways to improve productivity and reduce costs.
Using market forecasts and competitive analysis to anticipate necessary production changes.
Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget.
Source negotiate and select vendors that meet the companys quality price and delivery requirements.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality cost and delivery.
Review and analyze purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders.
Monitor inventory levels to ensure minimum stock levels are maintained.
Ensure timely delivery of items and follow up with vendors on late orders.
Resolve invoice discrepancies with vendors.
Maintain accurate records of purchases pricing and other important data.
Prepare reports on purchase activity and supplier performance.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in business mechanical or industrial engineering supply chain management or related experience with a minimum of a high school diploma.
3 years of experience in manufacturing planning.
Excellent knowledge of industrial/manufacturing planning and quality control principles.
Experience in JobBoss (ERP/Shop Management Software).
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint) and ERP systems.
High mathematical aptitude and analytical abilities.
Strong organizational time management and problemsolving skills.
Excellent communication negotiation and problemsolving skills.
Strong knowledge of purchasing principles and procedures.
Able to work in a fastpaced deadlinedriven environment.
Able to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
