Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Planning scheduling and coordinating production of complex jobs including production workflow equipment raw materials and manpower needed to cover production demand.
- Planning and prioritizing operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
- Purchasing raw materials components and services to meet the production and customer requirements.
- Monitoring costs to ensure jobs stay within budget.
- Evaluating raw materials and equipment to ensure everything is in place for production.
- Reporting on the production status and any production issues to upper management.
- Handling production disruptions and productivity problems.
- Finding ways to improve productivity and reduce costs.
- Using market forecasts and competitive analysis to anticipate necessary production changes.
- Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget.
- Source negotiate and select vendors that meet the companys quality price and delivery requirements.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality cost and delivery.
- Review and analyze purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure minimum stock levels are maintained.
- Ensure timely delivery of items and follow up with vendors on late orders.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies with vendors.
- Maintain accurate records of purchases pricing and other important data.
- Prepare reports on purchase activity and supplier performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in business mechanical or industrial engineering supply chain management or related experience with a minimum of a high school diploma.
- 3 years of experience in manufacturing planning.
- Excellent knowledge of industrial/manufacturing planning and quality control principles.
- Experience in JobBoss (ERP/Shop Management Software).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint) and ERP systems.
- High mathematical aptitude and analytical abilities.
- Strong organizational time management and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent communication negotiation and problemsolving skills.
- Strong knowledge of purchasing principles and procedures.
- Able to work in a fastpaced deadlinedriven environment.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
