Job Overview: The Information Center Specialist will manage and troubleshoot user accounts facilitate collaboration for user issues and support reporting and data analytics. Initially working with Cognos v12 Business Analytics the role will transition towards Tableau as part of the Navy Data Platform (NDP) modernization initiative. This position requires a highly analytical professional with experience in Cognos and a preferred background in Tableau with strong problemsolving skills and an ability to communicate effectively with users and team members.
Key Responsibilities: User Account Management & Troubleshooting:
Manage new and existing user accounts and access.
Troubleshoot and facilitate team collaboration for user issues and requests.
Enforce security measures to protect government data.
Required Skills and Competencies:
Experience with Cognos v12 Business Analytics 12 years).
Familiarity with SCRUM practices and Agile methodology.
Proficiency with Azure DevOps toolset.
Strong communication skills to interact with team members and users effectively.
Ability to problemsolve and analyze complex datasets.
Experience troubleshooting Cognos reporting and system issues.
Knowledge of how to set up and schedule reports.
Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Tableau 12 years).
Ability to support the transition from Cognos to Tableau ensuring a smooth migration.
Understanding of data structures and tables relevant to Cognos and Tableau.
Experience in data transformation and modernization initiatives.
