Responsibilities
As the Site Procurement Lead youll manage the procurement process and raw material purchase for the Texas City site. You will drive alignment to site and corporate policies including audits and certifications (ISO Kosher etc). You will be a representative of Global Sourcing and Procurement (GSP) organization on Site Leadership Team.
Job Responsibilities
- Identify vendor options and develop sourcing strategies for Raw Materials Goods and services
- Develop bid packages (Request for Quote Request for Information) conduct supplier bids and lead effort to transition new suppliers
- Negotiate contracts with new and existing suppliers
- Conduct Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) reviews with key vendors. Hold suppliers accountable for business performance and manage resolution of disputes with site suppliers. Serve as lead in driving corporate initiatives on site e.g. enhanced payment terms
- Manage Stores operation (goods receipt stocking issuance inventory count and inventory obsolescence processes) to certify that spare part management is conducted according to company policies
- Lead sourcing bidding and contracting for site supplies of equipment/MRO packaging services and capital (excludes raw material procurement)
- Identify initiate and lead continual improvement projects
- Serve as Procurement lead for IATF ISO & Kosher and other procurement process audits
- Serve as supervisor for Procurement and Stores team in Texas City
- Deploy Corporate Procurement initiatives on site. Escalate plantlevel procurement issues to Management. Lead Procurement policy enforcement (rogue spend backdoor selling source justification)
- Convert Purchase Requisitions to Purchase Orders as required
- Represent Procurement organization in site emergencies
- Communicate and escalate sourcing and procurement related issues at site (i.e. quality delivery invoice issues organizational etc.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelors degree required with concentration in accounting finance supply chain procurement or business preferred
- Must have at least 5 years of Buyer Procurement Supply Chain or warehouse management experience
- Experience using MRP system required knowledge of SAP ERP system preferred
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Experience working for global corporation and with multinational suppliers preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing facility preferred
- Experience with audits and external auditors preferred
