Are you an ambitious Science teacher with a proven track record of delivering outstanding outcomes who is ready to take your next step into leadership Or an experienced subject leader / 2ic looking for a fresh and exciting new challenge We are seeking a dedicated and inspiring Second in Charge 2iC) of Science to join an expanding Science department from September 2025.
Science Teacher Second in Charge 2ic) The role
As 2iC of Science you will play a key role in shaping the departments vision and ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
Working closely with the Head of Science you will:
- Support in leading and developing the Science curriculum.
- Mentor and guide colleagues to improve teaching practice.
- Assist in raising attainment and progress across all key stages.
- Contribute to departmental improvement planning and assessment strategies.
- Champion student engagement and enrichment within Science.
Science Teacher Second in Charge 2ic) What are we looking for
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Science teacher who:
- Has a strong track record of excellent teaching across KS3KS5.
- Is passionate about Science education and committed to student success.
- Has experience in leading initiatives mentoring staff or curriculum development.
- Is keen to take on leadership responsibilities and drive innovation.
