A great platform needs an exceptional developer experience. The Databricks Authoring teams mission is to deliver a bestinclass analytics experience for data scientists ML engineers data engineers and SQL analysts. The Databricks Notebook and SQL editors are core to every customers workflow and the features you launch will have a massive impact and broad reach.
As a developerfocused Product Manager you will drive the creation of an innovative bestinclass development experience on Databricks. Your work will include designing and building delightful features for our users including multiuser collaboration reactive serverless compute code completion code navigation stepthrough debugging web terminal unit testing and environment configuration.
Youll also be tasked with creating new AIpowered tools that enhance the productivity of data engineers and scientists. We have big plans for leveraging AI to make data exploration easier and wed love to have you help us shape that future.
The impact you will have:
- You will drive the product vision and roadmap for the developer experience in Databricks.
- You will explore integrating notebooks with cuttingedge generative AI capabilities such as automated code generation natural language processing and predictive analytics.
- You will act as the voice of the customer integrating user feedback to build developer experience improvements to Databricks authoring surfaces.
- You will grow enduser engagement with Databricks developer tools working closely with sales and customer success teams.
What we look for:
- 5 years of experience as a Product Manager working on platform products
- Experience building developerfacing products (tools frameworks SDKs) with tens or hundreds of thousands of users
- Experience programming in Python
- Experience being a handson builder must be comfortable using our own developerfacing products.
- Passion for designing products that simplify user experience of technically complex products.
