Job Description

Otak is looking for an experienced Transportation Senior Project Manager to join our expanding Puget Sound team in Redmond WA. In this role you will lead the charge in fostering strong client relationships positioning Otaks services for business growth and managing complex multidisciplinary transportation projects. These projects include transit infrastructure (such as bus rapid transit corridors transit stations and multimodal hubs) municipal roadways regional trails and general transportation support for both new and existing public clients.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building client connections exceptional communication skills and a passion for collaboration and team leadership. Selfdriven and enthusiastic you will play a key role in mentoring team members and driving the success of a wellestablished and growing practice. What you will do:

Develop and maintain client relationships.

  • Participate in business development activities including client meetings preparation of proposals interviews and contract negotiations.
  • Oversee design services for transportation and transitrelated improvements such as transit corridors bus rapid transit parkandrides municipal roadway pedestrian and bicycle enhancements and operational safety upgrades.
  • Oversee preparation of specifications and cost estimates
  • Plan and coordinate projects with limited supervision.
  • Assist in assigning duties and schedules to team member.
  • Prepare project scope schedule and budget.
  • Guide and mentor internal team members and support their professional development.
  • Take active role in quality control and quality assurance (QA/QC) program.
  • Provide construction support services.

What you bring:

  • Bachelors in Civil Engineering from an accredited fouryear college or university or equivalent education is required.
  • Minimum of 15 years experience as a Civil Engineer with an emphasis in transportation and transitrelated planning design and delivery of projects including working with transit agencies such as Community Transit Sound Transit King County Metro WSDOT or others.
  • Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Washington required or ability to obtain within six months.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships while driving business growth.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work with various teams throughout the organization.
  • Demonstrated experience with AutoCAD/Civil 3D (MicroStation experience helpful).

Salary range: $135000 $175000 per year
