Accounting Intern

The Role:

As an Accounting intern you will work closely with our Accounting team that is responsible for ensuring timely close submissions and filings for Modernas international operations while supporting effective internal controls and compliance with US GAAP and local statutory accounting standards.

This internship is expected to be 11 weeks in duration 40 hrs/week) from July 1 Sep 12. The internship will be located in Modernas Warsaw office with an expectation of working at least 70 inoffice.

Heres What Youll Do:

Under the supervision and guidance of the Accounting team you will:

• Shadow team members to learn about accounting processes and systems including compliance with US GAAP and local statutory standards.
• Assist with transactions to support the monthly and quarterly close and financial reporting processes.
• Prepare templates and generate reports to facilitate financial reporting and reconciliation activities.
• Support the documentation and organization of financial records for audits and compliance reviews.
• Contingent on progress learn and work within SAP and other financial systems to gain exposure to transactional processes and data management
• Participate in team meetings and discussions to gain insights into crossfunctional collaboration and decisionmaking within the Accounting and broader Finance teams.

Heres What Youll Need (Basic Qualifications):

• Current enrollment in or recent completion of an undergraduate (Second Year or later) or graduate program (any year) focused on Accounting Finance or similar field

• Fluency in English required
