We are seeking a Finance Controller Regional Operations (Life Cycle Service EMEA) to drive financial performance business insights and operational efficiency across the EMEA region within the Life Cycle Services (LCS) business of the Kardex AutoStore Division. This role based in Madrid Spain will report directly to the Global Finance Director of the Kardex AutoStore Division.
The successful candidate will act as a key financial partner to regional Service Operations Sales and Supply Chain teams ensuring profitability cost control and business growth across multiple countries in Europe the Middle East and Africa.
Your tasks
Financial Control & Compliance Across EMEA:
- Ensure accurate financial reporting revenue recognition and cost tracking across multiple countries in the EMEA region.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS internal controls and financial policies while adapting to countryspecific regulations.
- Oversee monthly quarterly and annual financial closing processes ensuring the accuracy of service revenue cost allocations and contract accounting.
- Track maintenance contracts from signature through financial recognition ensuring:
- Timely and accurate contract booking in the corresponding month
- Consistent monthly revenue and cost recognition
- Adherence to IFRS revenue recognition standards and company policies
Financial Reporting & Analysis Across EMEA:
- Provide variance analysis KPIs and financial insights to ensure accurate tracking of revenue profitability and operational costs across the region.
- Oversee the P&L for Life Cycle Services (LCS) monitoring service contract profitability and cost structures in each country.
- Support financial forecasting budgeting and longterm planning with a strong focus on cost control and margin improvement.
- Identify risks and opportunities within the LCS financials ensuring corrective actions are taken when needed.
Process Improvement & Internal Controls Across EMEA:
- Implement and maintain internal controls and financial processes to enhance reporting accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure the correct SAP/ERP system implementation for tracking service revenues and contract profitability across the region.
- Lead financial process automation and efficiency improvements within the Life Cycle Services business.
Crossfunctional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement Across EMEA:
- Act as a trusted financial advisor to regional service leaders providing financial transparency and control.
- Work closely with the Service Operations Sales and Supply Chain teams to ensure proper financial management of LCS activities.
- Support finance teams in multiple EMEA countries ensuring regional financial alignment.
Your profile
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field (CPA preferred).
- 5 years of experience in financial controlling preferably in service aftermarket or industrial operations.
- Strong knowledge of Life Cycle Services service contracts and revenue recognition principles (IFRS 15 GAAP etc..
- Expertise in financial reporting cost control and compliance within a multicountry environment.
- Experience with financial systems (SAP Power BI Excel etc..
- Experience in multicountry financial analysis and reporting with an ability to navigate different regulatory frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a focus on process improvement and cost optimization.
- Fluency in English and Spanish are required and other languages (French German etc. are a strong plus.
- Must be located in Madrid Spain.
