Join the PacRopes Training Team! The Assistant Rope Access Trainer will be responsible for assisting the Lead Trainer in planning and executing SPRAT and IRATA rope access courses at the Pacific Ropes Vancouver training center. This position is a casual/oncall which can lead to fulltime training work as you gain your IRATA Instructor status.
Job Duties:
- Assist ongoing IRATA and SPRAT training classes for Levels 13
- Help implement supplemental course materials and guides that address individual and coursespecific learning needs
- Use developed flexible teaching strategies in order to relay theoretical knowledge as well as practical application
- Supervise and coordinate smaller groups
- Ensure appropriate skill sets and resources are available for each training class
- Keep up to date with research and developments according to industry trends IRATA and SPRAT regulations and safe work at height standards
- Maintain and manage training center equipment
- Provide constructive feedback instruction and encouragement
- Evaluate training program and activities to ensure effective training; discuss with TRAINING MANAGER and/or LEAD TRAINER
- Work with Pacific Ropes Administration to ensure all paperwork and resources are adequate for students
- Follow Pacific Ropes Instructors Manual; communicate any changes as necessary
- Understand and comply with Pacific Ropes mission for training (Innovation Safety Collaboration Mentorship)
- Adjust training methods and develop alternative solutions if expected results are not seen in order to continuously improve
- Maintain cleanliness of classroom kitchen bathrooms and training areas.

Qualifications:
- Must have at least IRATA Level 3 certification
- First Aid Certification is a bonus
- Expertise in rope access with at least 5 years of industry experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
