Job Description

Mental Health Intake Officer EEN/RN

The Hills Private Hospital is a 111 bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital with 25
inpatient mental health beds and an expanding Day Mental Health/Rehabilitation
Program and an opening TMS service. We specialise in assisting people aged 18
and over who are living with: Anxiety depression traumas personality disorders
mood disorders PTSD psychosis alcohol and drug dependency and addictive
behaviours.
The successful applicant will work closely with the mental health Nurse Manager and
the Executive team to develop procedural processes around bed management and
coordination.

Selection Criteria:
Enrolled Nurse / Registered Nurse
Clinical competence in Mental Health Nursing
Clinical competence in Mental Health Risk Assessment Skills
Strong sense of customer service and excellence in written and verbal
communication
Highlevel communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to engage
with internal and external stakeholders such as GPs referring to mental health
commissioned services whilst maintaining confidentiality
Superior time management and organisational skills
Enthusiasm and motivation
Knowledge of the Private Hospital Sector
Computer literate data analysis
Knowledge of health funding / Workers Compensation and Insurance company
funding
Show a commitment to learning and seeking new ways to grow and develop by
being inquisitive and adapting to change.
Postgraduation in mental health (desirable)
