Sentara Martha Jefferson is hiring a full time Echocardiographer in Charlottesville VA.
Thenoninvasive team at Sentara Martha Jefferson includes RNs Cardiovascular Technicians andSonographers seeing an average of 7 patients a day both inpatient and outpatient.The Echocardiographer must live within a 30minute drive of the hospital for call purposes.
Hours: Monday Friday day shift with call every 5th week to include the weekend.
10000 Sign on Bonus available for qualified candidates.
The noninvasive Echocardiographer performs two dimensional echocardiograms Dopplerechocardiograms transesophageal echocardiograms and pharmacological stress echocardiogramsto evaluate heart and vessel abnormalities for the evaluation of heart disease and blood flowabnormalities. Completes the technologist report in the structured report application.
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent with experience as an Echocardiographer
Associates or Bachelor degree in Cardiovascular Technology
Certification
Basic Life Support within 90 days of hire
ACLS within 90 days of hire
Adult echocardiography registry (RDCS or RCS or RDCS) required within 12 months of hire.
Experience
Echocardiography 1yr. exp highly preferred
two dimensional echocardiograms
Clinical Experience in an acute setting
Manages complex cases in fastpaced environments
Communication with patients and providers
knowledge on performing measurements of heart structures
visualizing potentially critical findings
