Head Womens Basketball Coach (Club Team)
Position Title: Head Womens Basketball Coach
Supervisor: Dean of Student Affairs
Salary: $7000 $3000 fall semester $3000 spring semester $1000 for off season recruitment)
Job Type: PartTime
Job Summary:
The head womens basketball coach is a parttime position responsible for all phases of the womens basketball program. Responsibilities include but are not limited to promoting coaching recruiting evaluating current and prospective studentathletes and performing public relations for the program.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates degree required or equivalent combination of training and coaching experience
Successful coaching and recruiting experience are required; at the collegiate level is preferred
Current CPR/AED certification or ability to attain
Clean driving record required
Responsibilities:
Schedule organize and oversee all aspects of the basketball program including but not limited to practices games and recruiting
Evaluate studentathletes performance and design plans/strategies for continued improvement
Provide individual and group instruction focused on technical improvement
Develop a highquality recruitment program supported with a written welldefined plan including cultivation of prospective studentathletes and scheduling campus visits
Develop and maintain relationships with coaches and Athletic Directors at local high schools two and fouryear institutions
Initiate statistical reporting press releases and handle public relations
Assist the Athletic Director to ensure studentathletes remain eligible and are progressing toward graduation
Attend conferences seminars and meetings as permitted for professional development
Educate athletes regarding college travel policies.
Remain flexible with the work schedule that may include days evenings and weekends
