IT Specialist (System Support) ROLE We need an experienced IT Specialist (System Support) at theMarine Corps Public Health Center (NMCPHC) and the Naval Dosimetry Center (NDC). The NMCPHC is the Navy and Marine Corps center for public health services. The NDC serves as the Navys ionizing radiation dosimetry center of excellence for radiation protection programs for the Navy and Marine Corps. The NDC provides leadership and expertise to ensure mission readiness through disease prevention and health promotion in support of the National Military Strategy. In this role you will provide directorate support to resolve IT program and implementation issues with crossplatform data and IT systems. This is a fulltime opportunity. RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor and assist in carrying out server maintenance functions
Assist in resolving IT program and implementation issues with crossplatform data and IT Systems
Assist in the planning and designing of systems architecture to support command requirements
Ensure the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies principles and practices to the delivery of application Software services
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Technical skills in VMware Infrastructure 5 4.1 VMware ESX 3.5 and VMware Fusion/Workstation
Technical skills in Structured Query Language (SQL) and experience developing SQL reports
EDUCATION
Bachelors degree in Engineering Information Technology Computer Science or a related field
Minimum five years of experience with system administrator duties
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Masters degree preferred
Designed and implemented system architecture testing and security protocols
