These innovations allow us to provide bestinclass packaging solutions that meet the evolving needs of clients in the cannabis nutraceutical supplements and food & beverage industries.

As an Account Manager at Calyx Containers you will be the primary point of contact for our existing customers ensuring they experience exceptional service achieve their goals and remain loyal partners. Your focus will be on building strong longterm relationshipsproactively identifying opportunities to upsell or crosssell and collaborating internally to provide seamless solutions. This role demands a sophisticated understanding of B2B account management strategic thinking and a commitment to helping our customers thrive.

Key Responsibilities

Account Retention & Relationship Building

    • Serve as the main point of contact for assigned customers ensuring they receive prompt attentive service.
    • Proactively reach out to maintain and strengthen customer relationships anticipate needs and resolve issues to maintain high satisfaction.

Upsell & CrossSell Development

    • Identify new revenue opportunities within existing customer accounts presenting relevant solutions aligned with their evolving objectives.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to develop proposals and pricing that encourage sustainable account growth.
  • Retention & Growth Performance
    • Meet or exceed retention and expansion goals using a consultative approach to demonstrate clear ROI for continued partnership with Calyx.
    • Consistently monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) adjusting strategies to secure customer loyalty and achieve sales targets.
  • Customer Advisory
    • Act as a trusted consultant by understanding your customers business strategies and challenges and recommending tailored solutions.
    • Develop a nuanced understanding of industry trends to guide customers toward best practices and innovative possibilities.
  • CrossDepartment Collaboration
    • Partner with Customer Success Art Product and Operations teams to ensure timely and cohesive implementation of solutions.
    • Facilitate open communication channels so that customer feedback and needs are accurately conveyed to internal stakeholders.
  • Pipeline & Forecasting
    • Track renewal timelines expansion opportunities and potential risks within each account.
    • Provide regular updates and forecasts to sales leadership maintaining transparency on progress obstacles and revenue outlooks.
  • CRM Administration
    • Document all account activities communication logs and forecasting details in HubSpot (or equivalent CRM).
    • Ensure data accuracy and leverage CRM insights to optimize account engagement strategies.
  • Solution Optimization
    • Present product and service solutions that maximize each customers success with Calyx Containers emphasizing value and ROI.
    • Adapt recommendations based on unique customer requirements or market changes.
  • Strategic Planning
    • Develop Annual Account Plans outlining goals revenue targets and engagement strategies for each assigned customer.
    • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to assess progress address challenges and realign on future objectives.
  • Customer Insights

o Capture the Voice of the Customer to inform ongoing product enhancements and process improvements.

o Use feedback loops to identify opportunities for increased customer satisfaction and retention.

  • Process Improvement

o Seek ways to refine internal procedures and workflows that impact the customer experience championing efficiency and transparency.

o Provide suggestions to leadership on best practices for account management and customer lifecycle optimization.

  • Travel Requirements

o Travel up to 2550 to meet customers facetoface conduct QBRs and strengthen relationships.

o Represent Calyx Containers professionally at industry events or client sites.

  • Collections Assistance
    • Leverage strong customer rapport to assist Finance when regular collections efforts encounter roadblocks.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Sales Business Management or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of fullcycle B2B account management or sales experience.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Proven track record of using datadriven insights to drive account strategies and retention outcomes.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable navigating changing priorities timelines and customer needs in a fastpaced environment.
  • Industry Knowledge: Previous experience in packaging or cannabis is advantageous but not required.
