TITLE: Summer PD Launch OSE MS and HS
LOCATION: CAMS Science Labs
REPORTS TO: Christina DiCalogero Director of Curriculum and Instruction
GENERAL DUTIES:Participate in the four day curriculum launch PD facilitated by OpenSciEd facilitators.
Description:
Science educators grades 68 and HS Biology and Chemistry educators will participate in an OpenSciEd professional learning designed to help support educators in using OpenSciEd materials and pedagogy in their classrooms to prepare for launch of the first unit per grade/course in the fall.
*5th grade teachers are invited to attend (and be compensated for June 24th and June 25th only) to learn about the OSE instructional model.
Date(s): June 24th 25th 26th and 27th Time: 8:003:00 PM 1 hour lunch)
QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate will be an educator who is responsible for middle school 68 or HS (Biology and Chemistry) instruction using the Open Science Education curriculum materials; includes content teachers instructional coaches special education teachers and multilingual language teachers)
COMPENSATION: Educators will be paid at the contractual rate for work outside of the school day 6 hours per day per person).
