PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The HVAC Helper assists in the overall operation and maintenance of all the districts HVAC and refrigeration systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Graduate or GED required

Refrigerant Recovery Certification preferred

At least three years experience in HVAC field preferred

Must have and maintain a valid drivers license and be insurable

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists in the maintenance and operation of the HVAC systems which include maintaining filters and coils maintaining cooling towers maintaining valves and control system for all districts HVAC units.

Performs all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or to others.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

EQUIPMENT USED:

Power tools (drill saw etc. hand tools pressure washer district vehicle high lifts refrigerant recovery units

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environment Factors:

Maintain emotional control under stress frequent district travel continuous walking standing heavy lifting and carrying exposure to extreme weather conditions exposure to electrical and chemical hazards working in high places.
