This is not your typical backoffice rolethis is handson leadership. Youll organize food distributions coordinate with retail donors and volunteers and make sure that every family who visits us is treated with care and respect. Youll also manage our USDAfunded Child Care Food Program (CCFP) helping to ensure children in our education programs receive nutritious meals daily.
While well share the full job description later in the process your daytoday will involve:
Coordinating and leading food pantry operations including volunteer shifts retail pickups and community food drives
Overseeing food safety inventory and compliance with USDA and Feeding America requirements
Managing Grace Places CCFP program in partnership with our educational programs
Supervising a Food Service Associate and working closely with campuswide staff and volunteers
Representing Grace Place with partners like Harry Chapin Food Bank Midwest Food Bank and local donors
Leading by examplewhether thats helping with pantry setup or prepping food for field trips
A team leader with a heart for service and community impact
Experienced in food distribution logistics or child nutrition (CCFP knowledge is a plus!
Organized dependable and ready to get things done
Comfortable managing staff and volunteers
ServSafe Manager Certified (or willing to obtain it within 60 days)
Able to lift up to 75 pounds and work on your feet in a dynamic physical environment

Education & Experience
Bachelors degree in Food Service Management Nutrition Nonprofit Management or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
Minimum of 1 year of experience in food service management pantry operations or nutrition programs
Skills & Abilities
ServSafe Manager Certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire)
Strong leadership and organizational skills
Experience supervising staff and/or volunteers
Familiarity with the Child Care Food Program (CCFP) is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook Teams Word Excel and PowerPoint
Strong communication skillswritten and verbal
English proficiency required; Spanish bilingual preferred
Collaborative teamoriented and passionate about food equity and the Grace Place mission
Valid drivers license proof of insurance and clean driving record
Ability to pass an FDLE Level 2 background screening
Willing to complete CDL training and ServSafe Manager Certification if not already held
Able to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally 50 lbs frequently and 20 lbs consistently
Comfortable working in varied settings (office pantry kitchen warehouse)
Able to stand walk and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods
This is a fulltime exempt position. Anticipated working hours are approximately 8:30 AM 5:00 PM Monday through Friday with some evenings and weekends as needed.
