Responsibilities / Tasks
GEA Food Solutions North America Inc. is a worldwide leader in providing preparation processing and packaging total solutions for both the food and nonfood industry sectors. Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of equipment
Provides technical support to customers including troubleshooting and problem resolution
Performs mechanic skills including but not limited to mechanical electrical pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of machines
Provides training of customers operators and maintenance personnel
Complies with OSHA Safety and Health rules
Your Profile / Qualifications
Highschool Diploma or GED required Bachelors or Technical Degree preferred
5 years of handson technical experience on electromechanical systems as applied to stateoftheart industrial machinery
Strong electrical aptitude including motors AC & servo drives electrical circuitry PLC and PC based control systems
Strong mechanical aptitude including power transmission systems pneumatics and hydraulics
Experienced troubleshooter on electromechanical systems
Excellent communications skills must be proficient in English have strong listening skills and enjoy working with people
Strong customer service orientation with a do whatever it takes attitude
Able to multitask and work under extreme pressure
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
Selfmotivated and highly organized. Must be able to work independently.
Excellent computer literacy including knowledge of MS Word and Excel
Able to travel extensively (up to 90 including weekend trips and on short notice.
Be able to read/understand blueprints and mechanical drawings.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Good eyehand coordination ability to bend to lift 5075 lbs potentially up to 100 lbs with assistance.
Ability to stand long periods of time through 10 hour workdays.
Ability to evaluate and solve problems in a logical manner.
Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Understanding and use of job safety precautions (OSHA knowledge) particularly regarding Lock Out Tag Out Confined Space Working at heights correctly and with proper safety mechanisms in place.
Ability to drive a motor vehicle
