Theatre Porter (Bank)

Brighton Hospital Theatre Bank

Up to 12.58 per hour depending on experience

In thisvariedand physicalroleas a HospitalPorteryouwill:

  • Collect and return patients to their individual rooms following surgery.
    Work alongside trained professionals ensuring that the theatre environment and equipment is fully functioning.

  • Support the cleaning of theatre equipment and environment.

  • Be working in afast movingclinical environment with constant interaction with the Theatre Team.

To succeed asaPorteryouwill:

  • Be comfortable with aphysical rolewhich involvespushing beds andlifting heavy equipment.

  • Be a good communicator as part of your role will be ensuring that patients are feeling as relaxed and reassured prior to their surgery.

  • Comply with Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks if successful.

We take pride in delivering high standards of patient care to both private patients and the NHS. Our facilities include 44 purpose built ensuite rooms 3 operating theatres plus 1 endoscopy theatre. Other facilities include physiotherapy and a diagnostic department. We are located in Woodingdean on the east side of Brighton with easy access by rail and road including free parking.
