Job Description
The FraunhoferGesellschaft www.fraunhofer currently operates 76 institutes and research institutions throughout Germany and is the worlds leading applied research organization. Around 30 000 employees work with an annual research budget of 2.9 billion euros.
In the MixedSignal Automation working group we develop innovative software for the automated design of analog integrated circuits in particular in close cooperation with our colleagues from the circuit design department which we use inhouse as well as with our partners and customers. With our software Intelligent IP we follow the approach of socalled circuit generators. You can find more information at: www.intelligentip.
What you do with us
Intelligent IP has been in use for several years and is constantly being adapted to new requirements. You are welcome to support us in the context of an internship a thesis or as a student assistant. Possible topics are:
- Analysis test and implementation of interfaces to existing standard CAD software
- Benchmarking of typical design steps based on reference circuits and comparison with alternative design methods
- Development and generator implementation of flexible circuit concepts and layouts
- Adaptation to new manufacturing technologies e.g. FinFET
- Further development test and validation of API functions and generators
- Development of components for the graphical user interface.
What you bring along

Prerequisites are
- enrollment in a degree program with corresponding previous knowledge
- ideally you already have some experience with programming languages like Python andfirst experience with IC design software or layout
- an independent way of working but also the ability to work together in a team
- fluent in either German or English (written and spoken)
