POSITION SUMMARY

As a Lead Systems Administrator you will oversee the administration configuration and maintenance of the organizations IT infrastructure ensuring the efficient operation of all systems servers and networks. The Lead Systems Administrator role includes coordinating IT projects implementing best practices for system management and ensuring the seamless integration of new technologies.

Onsite in Fort Wayne IN

COMPENSATION
This position offers a competitive compensation package benchmarked to regional market standards consisting of a salary base pay plus the opportunity for quarterly profit sharing after one year of employment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

    • System Administration:
    • Lead the design installation and maintenance of server and network systems (Linux/Windows servers storage cloud environments network infrastructure etc..
    • Monitor and ensure the stability security and performance of infrastructure systems.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues providing timely and effective solutions.
    • Manage user accounts permissions and access control systems ensuring data integrity and security.

    • Leadership:
    • Ensure tasks are completed monitor progress and ensure the timely completion of projects.
    • Develop and enforce best practices and processes to improve team efficiency security and system performance.

    • Infrastructure Planning & Strategy:
    • Lead the strategic planning and of infrastructure upgrades and migrations.
    • Assess new technologies and make recommendations for improvements or new system implementations.
    • Ensure the organizations IT infrastructure is scalable reliable and futureproof.

    • Security & Compliance:
    • Implement monitor and manage security measures for infrastructure systems ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
    • Lead efforts to conduct regular security audits vulnerability assessments and system patching.
    • Drive towards security excellence to better protect the company against threats.
    • Maintain backup systems and disaster recovery plans ensuring minimal downtime in case of system failure.

    • Collaboration & Support:
    • Work closely with crossfunctional teams (development support operations) to ensure systems meet business requirements.
    • Provide advancedlevel support to internal teams for escalated technical issues.
    • Coordinate and collaborate with vendors contractors and external partners for thirdparty services and solutions.

    • MUST HAVE
    • Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
    • 7 years of experience in system administration with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role.
    • Proven experience with system network and server administration in both onpremises and cloud environments (AWS Azure Google Cloud etc. in a 300 user environment.
    • Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows Server macOS etc..
    • Expertise in virtualization technologies (VMware HyperV KVM etc..
    • Handson experience with hybrid domain solutions.
    • Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP DNS HTTP/S etc. and system security best practices.
    • Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages (Bash PowerShell Python etc..
    • Experience with monitoring and management tools.
    • Excellent organization communication and time management skills.
    • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues under pressure and maintain a calm solutionoriented approach.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
    • A proactive and strategic thinker with strong problemsolving abilities.
