Job Description
PEABODY PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT
Daytoday Food Svc/ Cafeteria Substitutes (On Call3 hour days) work dayto day assignments or reassignmentsto fill positions due to the absence of the regularly assigned staff. On call position with approximate hours of 10 am to 1:30 pm No work on holidays or the school summer break.
Hourly pay rate: $16.00
Minimum Qualifications:
Statement of Duties:
- Performs tasks requiring an ordinary degree of skill in preparation and serving of food as well as other tasks required for the operation and sanitary maintenance of a food service facility or area
- Operates electrical equipment such as mixers potato peelers slicing machines dishwashers and toasters.
- Cleans tables and other kitchen equipment.
- Collects and washes dishes silver and cooling utensils and puts them away.
- Sweeps floor cleans counters and tables and counter and kitchen equipment such as food containers trays cooking ranges garbage cans and refrigerators of food and other supplies. Stores foods properly in refrigerators and storeroom.
- Works as a member of a cafeteria staff team. Responsible for other general duties as assigned by the School Cafeteria Head Cook
- Bilingualism is a highly desired skill for a position but not a requirement
Qualifications:
Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Demonstrated aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities
- Must be a positive contributor as a team player
- Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal alien status.
