Job Description
WTis a consulting firm with over 65 years of quality service that offers professional services in the southwestern United States in the fields of geotechnical engineering environmental engineering construction materials engineering and testing nondestructive testing and welding inspection.We have a fulltime opportunity for an experienced Construction Materials Inspector/ Project Manager inTucson Arizona. WT has had aTucson office for over 60 years. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented professional to help lead the Southern Arizona Unit.
Responsibilities
Work with project designers and clients to ensure that client specifications are followed
Perform routine to complex inspection and testing of construction materials in the field
Prepare daily reports on observation activities
Assist with proposal scoping and preparation
Track project budgets and prepare invoicing
Review observation and test data for accuracy and completeness
Assist with training supervision and mentoring of junior staff as needed
Required and Preferred Education / Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
4year Civil Engineering degree preferred but not required
4 years of construction materials testing and observation experience
Experience ranging from small to large complex construction and/or heavy highway projects
Minimum Certifications
ACI Concrete FieldTesting Technician
One ICC Certification
One ATTI Certification
Preferred Certifications
ICC Reinforced Concrete Special Inspector
ICC Structural Masonry Special Inspector
ICC Prestressed Concrete Special Inspector
ATTI Field Technician or equivalent
Nuclear Gauge / Radiation Safety
Required Skills
A valid drivers license and a clean driving history required
Ability to read and comprehend plans and specifications
Experience with performing IBC Special Inspections
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable with MS Office including Word Excel Outlook and Google Drive

Strong organization and planning skills
