WHO YOU ARE
WHO YOU ARE
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Trade or technical accreditations in small tool small equipment farm equipment automotive or other related fields.
- Experience repairing smallengines for tools & equipment that require mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic repairs.
- Knowledge of the concrete construction industry is preferred including experience repairing trowel machines concrete vibrators cut saw etc.
- Must be selfmotivated and the ability to organize daily routine.
- Ability to read analyze and interpret manufacturer parts and mechanical owners manuals including hydraulic and electrical schematics.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers and provide excellent customer service.
- Proven critical thinking skills in order to properly diagnose and repair equipment.
- Ability to work as a team player.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency while also completing work accurately safely and thoroughly.
- Must own tools applicable to position.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Receive customer equipment for repairs by obtaining all pertinent information.
- Examine equipment for estimates of repairs needed and provide required parts list to Service Manager.
- Diagnose repairs based on examination of equipment customer comments and manufacturers guidelines.
- Repair equipment efficiently accurately ethically and safely.
- Complete repaired equipment within established estimate.
- Report and document all additional work performed from original estimate.
- Ensure all parts used are accurately reported on the service order or equipment diagnosis form.
- Prepare new equipment for sale or display.
- Service and maintain rental fleet of equipment.
- Assist with loading and unloading of customer equipment.
- Enroll in continued industry training and education with manufacturers.
- Maintain a clean organized and safe work and locker area.
- Achieve weekly monthly quarterly and annual customer billinghour goals as set by the Service Manager.
- Perform any other duties as may be required from time to time by the Service Manager.
