Our mission is to equip students with the skills and experiences they need to succeed in both their academic and professional pursuits.Key Responsibilities:
Provide first aid emergency care and support for student illnesses and injuries.Administer prescribed medications and treatments per health plans.Maintain accurate health records and communicate with families regarding health concerns.Teach medicalrelated courses to high school students integrating realworld applications of medical knowledge.Promote wellness and healthy habits through educational initiatives.Work collaboratively with staff to ensure a safe supportive school environment.Serve as a mentor during the daily get What I Need (WIN) Time supporting students academic and personal growth.Qualifications:Must possess a Rhode Island Department of Education School Nurse certificate.Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Rhode Island.Bachelors degreeExperience in a school or pediatric health setting preferred.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Multilingual preferred: Spanish Portuguese and/or Cape Verdean CreoleH.E.A.L.S.
