Job Description:Enable students to derive the fullest possible educational experience from school.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess children through appropriate evaluation techniques under the guidance of the school psychologist.
- Provide appropriate intervention strategies following the assessment process under the guidance of the school psychologist.
- Report assessment results to parents and teachers under theguidance of the psychologist.
- Serve as a member of the Child Study Team with the guidance of the psychologist.
- Participates in inservice training.
- Gain familiarity with the duties of the school psychologist including a knowledge of assessment utilization of school andcommunity resources and the operation of the public school system.
- Maintain records of assessment techniques and results.
- Actively seeks greater knowledge of the field through furthereducation professional journals and professional organizations.
- Increases knowledge of the classroom learning environment andchild development by active participation in the classroom.
Qualifications: Masters Degree with a major in psychology official letter of approval as a school psychologist intern from the Illinois Office of Education
SALARY:$20000 stipend
