Job Description:
The Activities Assistant assists the Activities Director as needed including with the development and implementation of activities programs for the residents. They assist in directing and teaching the planned activities; visit residents on a regular basis to encourage participation in activities; and assist them with various needs.
Part time hours with every other weekend required.
Position Requirements:
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid Virginia drivers license
- Licensed as an Activities Professional is preferred
- Experience in directing individual and group activities is preferred
- Experience in longterm care is preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with various types of people
- Ability to understand both written and verbal instructions
