The Omni Charlottesville Hotel offers 208 beautifully appointed guestrooms and suites featuring panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains along with a full service restaurant and 12000 square feet of meeting space. The Omni is located in the heart of downtown at the base of the downtown pedestrian mall. Our location offers a wide variety of local restaurants pubs entertainment venues or even just to take a scenic walk and enjoy the culture of Charlottesville. There are numerous local historic sites that have played a unique role in American history which include: Monticello the University of Virginia Ash LawnHighland Historic Court Square and Michie Tavern. Our Blue Ridge Parkway offers unmatched views and our very own downtown mall features daily entertainment at the four theaters which offer live music movies and theatrical performances.
Although we have a beautiful property and location our associates are what separate us from the rest of the hotels. Job Description
To provide assistance and services for guests as well as the hotel in order to ensure pleasurable accommodations.
Responsibilities
- Assist guests with luggage as needed during checkin/checkout process.
- Knowledgeable about all hotel amenities.
- Efficiently and safely park and retrieve guests vehicles.
- Properly log all runs in the valet log at the bell stand.
- Greet guests upon arrival and departure in a friendly and warm manner.
- Knowledge of local area attractions and directions.
- To fully understand and implement Moment of Service and Power of Engagement.
- Accept other special tasks assigned by management and front Office staff.
- Shine shoes upon request.
- Responsible for a clean and neat appearance of uniform wearing name tag.
- Assist in keeping the lobby and main drive clean and tidy.
- Other requests as directed by management.
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service communication and problemsolving skills.
- Previous Valet/Bell Attendant experience preferred.
- Excellent grooming and body language to represent the brand.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to lift push and pull 100150 lbs. frequently and work standing entire shift.
- Must have a valid VA drivers license in good standing.
- Must be at least 21 years of age with an excellent driving record (less than 2 minor moving violations within the last three years).
- Must be able to take a successful drug test which is administered by the Hotel.
- Must be able to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays.
