Position: School Operations (Operations Manager Operations Associate Office Coordinator)
Campus: United Preparatory Academy (East or State St. Columbus Collegiate Academy (Main St. or Dana Ave.
Grade(s): K5 or 68
Reports to: Varies depending on the specific School Operations role.
The United Schools Network (USN) is a nonprofit organization in Columbus Ohio. After founding its first school in 2008 it has worked together with incredible leaders to open three more schools in the span of ten years. Each USN school is an open enrollment public charter school that works diligently to close the opportunity gap in Columbus. Moreover the mission of all USN schools is to transform lives and our communities through the power of education while maintaining our vision: For every child an open door.
USN currently operates two highperforming elementary schools (K5 and two highperforming middle schools 68 that serve more than 1000 students. We strive to provide students with a rigorous academic experience in a joyful learning environment and we work hard to ensure that students of all levels grow and succeed by focusing on intentional student support and continual improvement.
School Operations Position Description
School Operations positions are integral to the smooth inner workings of our schools. These positions address all noninstructional items in our schools to allow teachers to focus on teaching and students to focus on learning. That may include overseeing and interfacing with vendors and facilities maintenance and connecting with families students and the community. School Operations staff members need to be problemsolvers quickthinkers detailoriented personable and comfortable with juggling multiple priorities and putting out fires while working in a fastpaced environment.

School Operations Qualifications:
- Holds a B.A./B.S. degree (strongly preferred)
- Has officerelated experience in an education agency (preferred).
- Has prior experience working in urban schools and/or communities (preferred).
School Operations Knowledge and Skills
- Has the ability to manage and complete multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Displays maturity and ability to work independently under pressure.
- Is open to feedback and has the ability to learn from ones mistakes.
- Has personal and professional integrity and will take responsibility for school operations.
- Comfortability with Google products for effective communication and completion of job responsibilities.
- Comfortability with computers computer systems phones photocopiers and filing.
- Communicates effectively with students families and colleagues.
- Has an entrepreneurial spirit.
School Operations Terms of Employment

- Report times are typically Monday through Friday 7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. although some jobrelated tasks can be expected outside of these hours.
- Salary: The starting salary for School Operations roles varies by position and is based on various factors including professional experience and education level.
