The Head of School will work with the Chief Academic Officer to develop and implement the academic social and cultural life of the school.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):- Manages grade level teams;
- Collaborates on the hiring of staff and teachers;
- Supervises school staff and teachers;
- Works with the Chief Academic Officer to develop and implement the academic social and cultural life of the school;
- Develops and supports a standards based curriculum that results in high academic achievement on language and math literacy;
- Utilizes a system of assessment that incorporates information into effective action planning for all grades and sections in the school;
- Collaborates on the development and implementation of school policies;
- Supervises the position of operations manager in supporting all school operations (including physical plant);
- Supports the parent program that builds positive parentschool partnerships;
- Collaborates and implements schoolrelated line items on the school budget;
- Collaborates with other HOS to convene and support parent advisory board; and
- All other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications:Experience working with schoolaged children;Bachelors degree is required; a Masters degree is preferred;Seasoned supervisor and accomplished manager with background in education and a perspective and vision for quality education.
