Overview
The Awake Overnight Crisis Social Worker/Therapist provides direct services to clients and families in crisis. These services include assessment of level of care needs psychosocial evaluations familybased mental health counseling crisis intervention and collaboration with natural support and community partners. The Clinician works as part of a multidisciplinary comprised of nurses psychiatrists and counselors and provide services on site.
Monterey County Crisis Programs
Senecas Monterey County Crisis Programs provide crisis stabilization services and shortterm residential treatment for children and youth experiencing crises ensuring timely support when its most needed. This innovative way of addressing a mental health emergency provides a safe supportive and welcoming environment for children and youth. Upon enrollment in the programs the Seneca teams work with the youth and support networks to assess the needs and strengths of the youth in order to develop the foundation goals that will drive treatment. Comprehensive services include timely mental health assessments crisis counseling and linkage to longterm sustainable support based on each clients unique strengths and needs. The ultimate goal is to provide mental health/crisis services suicide prevention decrease in placement changes and reduction of unnecessary psychiatric hospitalization.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the clinical lead and work with the treatment team to provide crisis intervention and other mental health services as needed.
- Provide counseling therapy and case management services to ensure the successful transition of clients and their families to other communitybased resources.
- Participate in all treatment reviews program staff meetings and additional meetings when necessary.
- Coordinate with necessary collateral contacts including caregivers and family members as needed.
- Work with treatment team to determine course of action for followup services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community members and providers.
- Participate in oncall system as needed.
- Complete progress notes and other paperwork and complete service tracking documentation as indicated.
- Participate in weekly supervision with the program supervisor or designee.
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings weekends and provide oncall coverage as needed.
Qualifications
- Masters degree in psychology counseling or social work
- Eligible to register with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.
- Strong communication skills and flexibility.
- Experience working with children and families preferred.
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- At least 21 years of age.
- TB test clearance fingerprinting clearance and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements.
- Valid driverslicense clean driving record and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies insurance policy.
- Proof of uptodate COVID19 vaccination.

- On call Friday
- Option #2: Thursday Saturday: 7pm 7:30am;
- On call Wednesday
- Option #3: Sunday Monday: 7pm 7:30am; Wednesday:7pm 7:30am
- Oncall Tuesday
- Option #4: Wednesday Saturday 10am 8pm
- Option #1: Sunday Tuesday: 7pm7:30am

- Actual salary dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications for the role.
