Job Description

Temp To FullTime

Currently we are looking for a 3rd shift employee willing to work four 10hour shifts.


General Labor/Machine Operator opening on the SE side of Grand Rapids Michigan.


A machine operator is responsible for the set up and operation of a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. Secures and maintains material and supplies required on the operation. The employee will be trained on each machine and the more machines and departments the employee is willing to learn and master the more versatile and greater value they will bring to their career here.


Candidates must take and pass a Measurement Test and a Math Test focused on converting decimals and fractions.


Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Completes work area set up.
  • Operates and feeds the machine in a safe and efficient manner and according to established procedures.
  • Stacks completed products in accordance with established procedures and if required may cover label and band components/finished product.
  • Ensures work area is safe clean and organized and that equipment is safe to operate.
  • Completes preshift/startup equipment inspection checklist and reports any problems or concerns.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Maintains production records as required.
  • Checks materials and finished products to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Performs duties consistent with established safety and quality procedures rules and standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in manufacturing and/or assembling is required.
  • Working knowledge of basic math and standard tape measure. Qualified candidates will have their knowledge tested.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.


Pay: $17.00/hour to start

Shift: 3rd shift start at 7pm to 5:30am working four 10hour shifts Sunday through Wednesday.
